Death of the Unicorn
Gospel of Muninn
There was a hound that came to Jesus, a stray
in the garden of Gethsemane on that fateful day.
Philip stood to kick it, when Jesus said,
"The hound is my Memory, his name is Muninn.
I tell you the truth when I say, that
his love for me is more real
 than anything of this world.
Only those who can understand this mystery
will be permitted into the Kingdom of Heaven.
 The disciples wept then,
because they had received the testimony
of the son of God, and they were unable
to know the mystery of memory.
Jesus laughed, and said, “Truly I
say to you, that I have died a thousand
deaths before, and I shall live still when
the flesh and bones that gird your body
 crumble into ash and dust.
For the true resurrection is not bodily,
but lies in the memories of our lives
and how we lived them. So live,
and don’t forget the details of this day,
when you get around to writing it all down.”
